Love Like Louden Blood Drive

DES MOINES, Iowa (September 14, 2021) – Community members and volunteer blood donors are invited to participate in the “Love Like Louden” in-center blood drive now underway with LifeServe Blood Center. All eligible donors are asked to schedule appointments for donation by calling (800) 287-4903 or scheduling online at www.lifeservebloodcenter.org. To credit donations to the “Love Like Louden” blood drive, donors are asked to mention the blood drive as they make their appointment and donation.

The family of Louden Paul Lofgren was stunned and reeling following the two-year old’s death after a routine medical procedure earlier this year. In their grief, the family looked for a positive way to remember Louden, who they describe as “a loving, energetic, smiling, two-year-old who loved all things in life.”

Knowing blood donations are always in demand the Lofgren family has worked with LifeServe Blood Center to organize a multiweek-long in-center blood drive at LifeServe’s four greater Des Moines area locations through Saturday, October 9.
