• BLOOD DONATIONS IN CRITICAL NEED AFTER LABOR DAY HOLIDAY The community blood supply has been strained this summer and into the Labor Day holiday and is now critically low after the long weekend. LifeServe Blood Center is in critical need of all blood types, especially O- and B-.
• FRESENIUS KABI AND AABB ANNOUNCE START OF 19TH ANNUAL BLOOD COLLECTORS WEEK SEPTEMBER 1-7, 2024 Fresenius Kabi, an operating company of Fresenius, and the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB) announced today that the 19th annual Blood Collectors Week is underway and runs from September 1 through September 7, 2024.
• LIFESERVE BLOOD CENTER HOSTS RIBBON CUTTING AND GRAND OPENING LifeServe Blood Center hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening of their new Johnston Headquarters on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 4 p.m. The new location is located at the corner of Merle Hay Road and Johnston Drive at 5625 NW Johnston Drive.
• LIFESERVE BLOOD CENTER OPENS NEW HEADQUARTERS IN JOHNSTON, IOWA As of Monday, June 10, 2024, LifeServe Blood Center officially opened its doors to donors at its new headquarters in Johnston, IA. The brand-new location is open six days a week at the corner of Johnston Drive and Merle Hay Road (5625 NW Johnston Drive).
• LifeServe Opens New Downtown Donor Center in Des Moines LifeServe opens new Downtown Donor Center on Monday, August 14th.
• LifeServe Celebrates 75th Anniversary at Sioux City Blood Donor Day LifeServe Blood Center, UnityPoint Health – Sioux City, and KTIV invite the community to this year's Blood Donor Day to boost the community blood supply and celebrate 75 years of saving local lives. LifeServe Blood Center provides 100% of all blood products needed to more than 160 hospitals across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, including UnityPoint Health – Sioux City.
• Aberdeen Donor Center Celebrates Lifesaving Work with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony LifeServe Blood Center and the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce invite the community to attend the upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony at the Aberdeen donor center located at 2727 6th Ave SE on Monday, June 12 at 10:00am.
• Six Months of Saving Lives at Mitchell Donor Center – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony LifeServe Blood Center and the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce invite the community to attend the upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony at the Mitchell Donor Center located at 819 E Spruce St. Suite 150 on Monday, June 12 at 3:00pm.

• LifeServe and MercyOne Lift the Blood Supply This year's MercyOne blood drives will have an impact on 657 hospital patients in the LifeServe area.
• WINTER WEATHER IMPACTS LOCAL BLOOD SUPPLY Blood Donors Needed Nearly 3,000 lives will be impacted this week due to a blizzard warning that brought many parts of LifeServe Blood Center's service area inches, if not feet of snow last week. While weather often brings cancellations, the need for life-saving products for transfusion and treatment never stops.
• LIFESERVE BLOOD CENTER HAS SENT ADDITIONAL BLOOD PRODUCTS TO HOSPITALS FOR PATIENTS IMPACTED BY PERRY HIGH SCHOOL SHOOTING On the morning of Thursday, January 4, 2024, LifeServe Blood Center received requests from area hospitals asking for additional blood products to treat victims impacted by the Perry High School shooting.
