Donating one pint of blood typically takes about 5–10 minutes.
5. Snacks & Recovery
Relax in the refreshment area after your donation and enjoy a snack and drink.
HYDRATE WELL
Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your donation to help prevent dizziness and improve blood flow.
EAT A GOOD MEAL
Eat a healthy meal before donating. Avoid giving blood on an empty stomach.
GET REST
Aim for 7–8 hours of sleep so your body is rested and ready to donate.
