Platelet donors are a dedicated gang of heroes who consistently sign up to save lives of cancer patients, trauma victims, organ donation recipients, and others in great need of a generous lifeline. When we call, they SHOW UP.

That is why we’re bringing back the Loyal Platelet Donor Club in 2026 to reward, recognize, and honor this special lifesaving club. The more times you donate platelets, the more perks you’ll get! Keep donating all year long to become a LPDC Power donor for the maximum reward.

Individuals can donate multiple units of platelets that are then used on local patients in need. Just one donation can impact multiple people in your community, and because they have a shelf life of less than a week, hospitals and patients are in constant need of your generous gifts.

When you donate platelets, a special machine is used to collect platelets while returning your other blood components back to you. This process takes a bit longer than a regular whole blood donation, but the benefits to patients is profound. Find eligibility information and more about platelet giving here.

FAQ Loyal Platelet Donor Club

• How do I join the Loyal Platelet Donor Club?

  It’s simple! Just donate platelets at any LifeServe Blood Center donor center. All donors who donate successfully will be automatically opted into the LPDC after their third donation in 2026. Rewards will be tracked automatically on our end, and we will reach out to you to redeem your rewards.

• What happens if I start late in 2026?

  The LPDC program runs all year long, so if you can’t make an appointment in January, you still have time to earn your t-shirt and subsequent rewards all year long.

• When do I get my rewards?

  You will be sent a form to fill out as you reach each level of the LPDC (2 donations, 3 donations, 4 donations, 6 donations). Expect delivery of rewards in about a month.

• What happens if I get deferred and can’t give?

  In order to qualify for LPDC rewards, you must have a successful donation. We encourage you to keep trying if you are unable to donate at your appointment.
