Reilly CadyReilly Cady
Director of Recruitment

Being part of an organization with a mission has always been important to me. Thankfully, when I moved to Des Moines out of grad school, my apartment happened to be in the East Village across the street from LifeServe. That led me to where I am today, and I have been working at LifeServe for over ten years! I am thankful to lead a team where we get to make a difference and work to be part of the incredible process that results in someone receiving a lifesaving gift. Outside of my role at LifeServe, my husband and I keep busy with my our two daughters and fill our days with being active and spending time with friends and family.

Allison Wagner

Allison Brumels
Western Iowa and Nebraska

I was born and raised right here in Sioux City, IA which makes my job all the more rewarding as it involves giving back to the community I was raised in. Although I’ve been here my whole life, I love to travel! When I’m not spending time with family, friends, or my black lab Maggie, I’m probably planning my next trip. This year’s adventures include Cancun, Mexico, Tanzania, Africa, and Israel!

Carrie JohnsonCarrie Johnson
Central Iowa

I love being in the healthcare field, as I find it incredibly rewarding to be able to make a difference and have an impact in my community. I’ve lived in central Iowa my entire life and currently live in a small town with my wonderful husband and energetic two year old daughter. Outside of work I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies, including: riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, fishing, painting, and most recently I picked up knitting!

Central Iowa

I’ve been at LifeServe for two years, and the mission means a lot to my family. My son Harrison is currently receiving IVIG treatments – which are created through the generous help of the LifeServe blood donors I get to work with every day! My second son, born just this February, is a Leap Day baby. My husband Matt and I were high school sweethearts and love the life we’ve created together. I love a good cup of coffee and vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks. My heart bleeds red and gold for Iowa State – I was a cheerleader there during college!

Kathie GaytherKathie Gayther
North Iowa/East Iowa

In my spare time, I run a free circus show!  I’m only kind of joking.  My troop of monkeys include my husband of 21 years, me, our four children (ages 18, 16, 13, and 11), two dogs, and my live in mother.  I grew up in Hanlontown, Iowa, where everyone says I was appropriately named “chatty Kathie.” Give me a cup of coffee and a willing candidate and I can talk to anyone about almost anything! I started my journey with LifeServe Blood Center in 2017 working as a phlebotomist. Being a territory representative has given me the opportunity to combine my gift of gab with my passion for blood donation.

Rachel FernandezRachel Fernandez
South Dakota

I have always had a passion to help people and make an impact, so LifeServe is the perfect place for me.  I have been with LifeServe for 8 years as a territory representative and enjoy working with my volunteers and donors to make a difference in their communities. When I am not working, you will find me spending time with my friends and family.  I enjoy traveling and finding new adventures.  I have even been known to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

Abbie Arneson
South Dakota

I was raised in North Platte, NE and attended the University of Nebraska, so I truly do bleed red; GO HUSKERS! Although I have only been with LifeServe a few months, I have 15 years of experience coordinating lifesaving blood drives in South Dakota.  I am very passionate about our mission and feel blessed to work with such amazing communities, volunteers, and donors.  Blood donors are just wonderful people!!  When I am not working you will find me watching my 19 year old daughter, Caroline, playing college soccer, and keeping up with my 15 year old son, Sam, who will be a sophomore in high school.
