Our medical team is here to ensure the community blood supply remains safe and ready to save local hospital patients.

LifeServe Blood Center offers a variety of services to meet the needs of the hospitals we serve. LifeServe Blood Center is committed to providing the highest level of customer service to donors, volunteers, hospital partners and the patients we serve, each and every day. In addition to the personal, individual attention hospital partners will receive, there are several aspects of the service provided that set LifeServe Blood Center apart from other blood centers.

Cellular Therapy Services

LifeServe Blood Center offers a specialized cellular therapy program for patients fighting cancer, specifically prostate cancer. Teaming up with a biotechnology company that focuses on cellular immunothereapy for cancer patients, LifeServe Blood Center provides blood collection expertise and competency to this cutting edge medical treatment. While this service does not impact the overall state of the blood supply, it does display LifeServe Blood Center’s commitment to providing quality services to hospitals and patients.

Reference Laboratory Testing

LifeServe Blood Center manages and operates a state-of-the-art blood testing facility. In addition to performing vital and required testing functions to maintain a safe and quality blood supply, the testing laboratory also offers and performs several other reference testing options to customers.

Therapeutic Apheresis Service

Our services are provided by highly qualified staff under the direction of LifeServe’s Medical Department.

To request apheresis services, please call 515-309-4920. If no one answers, please leave a message. Messages left between 7 AM and 6 PM will responded to that day. Messages left after 6 PM will be responded to the following day. For emergencies or to speak with the on-call LifeServe physician, press 1.

LifeServe Blood Center is committed to reducing the cost healthcare, improving transfusion outcome and creating great service experiences. Keeping up-to-date on the numerous transfusion medicine requirements can be challenging for hospitals. LifeServe Blood Center offers a variety of clinical, educational and support opportunities to help hospitals navigate the complexities of blood banking and transfusion medicine. The following options are example of services available to LifeServe Blood Center hospital partners:
