First Time Donors
Are you thinking about Donating for the first Time?
If you're thinking about donating blood for the first time, remember it's an impactful way to contribute and impact the health of your family, friends, neighbors, and strangers.
Unpredictable events, like harsh weather and car accidents, can have an immediate effect on our blood supply.
Whole Blood is frequently given to trauma patients and people undergoing surgery.
Double Red donations are given to trauma patients, newborns, mothers during emergency transfusions during birth, people with sickle cell anemia, and those suffering blood loss.
Platelets are used primarily in cancer and leukemia patients, as well as transplant recipients, burn patients, and patients suffering from bleeding disorders.
Plasma can be used for transfusion for burn victims, and other hospital patients or to develop plasma-protein therapies.
By moving blood products around the midwest, based on community needs, LifeServe ensures that the blood supply is ready for immediate, local use. Our communities and neighbors play a vital role in supporting each other. Donating blood saves lives, and brings communities together.
Donating blood is a generous act, but before you schedule make sure you are eligible!
