All blood donors who donate at LifeServe’s Cedar Valley donor center can receive a free gift for their donation from July 13 through August 31.
Donors will have the opportunity to choose between a free Garlic Twister from Urban Pie, $1 an item of your choice from The Vibe, or a free “I Bleed Purple” UNI shirt (while supplies last).
The importance of blood donation rises during the summer months, because local hospitals like MercyOne Cedar Falls, MercyOne Waterloo and UnityPoint Health- Allen Hospital, refer to this season as Trauma Season. One blood donation can impact 3 hospital patients.
