Blood Donors Keep the Rescue Going

Help Vermillion Fire & EMS keep the rescue going at our upcoming blood drive! Earlier this year, Vermillion Fire & EMS became the first ground ambulance service in South Dakota to carry and administer blood products provided by LifeServe Blood Center. This initiative is part of the Blood Out of Hospital Acute Resuscitation (BOAR) program, designed to bridge the critical gap between emergency incidents and hospital care. This wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of blood donors.

Vermillion community members are invited to roll up their sleeves and help ensure local ambulances are stocked with lifesaving blood products for emergency incidents. All blood donated with LifeServe in Vermillion STAYS in Vermillion, so donors know they’re making an impact right in their community.

Who Can Donate?

Most healthy individuals ages 16+ (16-year-olds with parental consent) are eligible to donate.
