LifeServe Blood Center is once again teaming up with Iowa Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) for a Blue Blood Drive!

As first responders, law enforcement officers regularly see the need for blood in our community Whether it’s a personal injury, motor vehicle accident, or other traumatic situation, these hardworking heroes respond to emergency calls of all sorts and are well versed in how quickly someone can lose blood. “When there’s an emergency people are willing to come out,” said Woodbury County Sheriff Dave Drew, “but we could help that cause by being proactive and donating ahead of time.”

Like first responders, blood donors are a critical part of disaster response. When there’s an emergency, it’s not police officers from Kansas City or Minneapolis that answer the call. It’s local officers from our communities! The same goes for the community blood supply.
