Per CDC guidelines, LifeServe is requiring blood donors to wear masks to their appointments beginning May 11. Donors who do not have masks will be provided one at registration. Donors should also take their temperature before reporting to their appointment. A donor with a temperature of 99.5 or higher should reschedule. See a full list of our COVID-19 precautions here.

Principal Financial Honors Healthcare Heroes

Principal Financial in Des Moines is stepping up and showing their support for our local healthcare heroes by sponsoring a number of blood drives this fall!

Principal is proudly providing goodies and snacks for our donors at the following medical center blood drives:

If you work at one of these medical centers, please feel free to book an appointment at the links above!

Though these drives aren’t open to the public, Principal Financial and LifeServe agreed that there is no more important time than now to let out healthcare heroes know that we appreciate the work they’ve done through this COVID-19 pandemic and their effort to take their lifesaving a step further by rolling up a sleeve to give even more of themselves in the form of a blood donation.

Sara Terpstra, Principal Financial blood drive chairperson

Sara Terpsta, Principal Financial’s blood drive chairperson, was happy to coordinate this partnership promotion. “Blood donation is important because doing what you can to help others is what humanity is at its core. This is such an easy way to make a positive impact. It’s free. It’s easy. It saves three lives. Why wouldn’t you?”

Thank you to Principal Financial for being heroes and supporting the importance of blood donation in our neighborhood! As Sara put it, “We can all play a part in making the world a better place.”
