Per CDC guidelines, LifeServe is requiring blood donors to wear masks to their appointments beginning May 11. Donors who do not have masks will be provided one at registration. Donors should also take their temperature before reporting to their appointment. A donor with a temperature of 99.5 or higher should reschedule. See a full list of our COVID-19 precautions here.

Bloodmobile Blood Drives Cancelled To Ensure Social Distancing While Donating Blood

In order to maintain proper social distancing as recommended by the CDC and to ensure the safety of our loyal blood donors, LifeServe Blood Center is cancelling blood drives scheduled on bloodmobile buses. Bloodmobile blood drives that can be relocated to an indoor set up will be moved; otherwise these blood drives will be rescheduled for the future.

Prior to COVID-19, LifeServe collected 70% of our blood products in a mobile environment. Due to businesses closing and schools canceling we’ve canceled more than 100 blood drives and lost thousands of donations. Our bloodmobile blood drives made up 35-40% of our mobile blood drives so this is another huge impact for LifeServe.

Donors who are healthy and well and still want to donate can click here to book an appointment at an area donor center. If you’d like to host a blood drive in your community and have an inside location available, reach out to us here!
