LifeServe Volunteer Earns Governor’s Award
LifeServe Blood Center volunteer David Molstad of Moville, IA received a Governor’s Volunteer Award from Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg during a special recognition ceremony held August 9 in Storm Lake.
Molstad was honored with an individual award for his dedication to delivering blood products to area hospitals. He has been a volunteer driver based out of Sioux City for LifeServe Blood Center since 2015.
More than 600 awards are being presented this year during ceremonies held at several locations around the state. It is estimated that more than 31,000 hours of service, with an economic impact of more than $727,000, were served by this year’s honorees during the past twelve months. Coordinated by Volunteer Iowa, the Governors Volunteer Award program provides an easy way to Iowa nonprofits, charitable organizations, and government entities to honor their volunteers with a prestigious, state level award.
