LifeServe Building State of the Art Facility and Consolidating Sioux City Locations

Line Drive “Bus Barn” facility

LifeServe Blood Center is excited to break ground on its new all-encompassing facility in the Sioux City area. The new facility will include a state of the art lab to continue to ensure a safe blood supply for hospital patients in need. With the new building, located on Line Drive, LifeServe is consolidating locations and selling its downtown Sioux City office space and former donor center, located at 1019 Jones Street.

The Jones Street property will be put on the market in the coming weeks. This facility currently serves as the blood center’s western Iowa laboratory, administrative office space and distribution hub, which will all be included in the Line Drive location. The Line Drive building that’s being enhanced currently houses LifeServe Blood Center’s blood collection vehicles and materials for mobile blood drives.

Blood collection will not be impacted by this sale and move. Since 2010, blood collections operations have taken place at the LifeServe Blood Center Sioux City Donor Center, located at 4501 Southern Hills Drive. That will continue to be the case. This new lab will ensure a safe blood supply and enhance blood collection activity in the Sioux City area. Plans to enhance and add on to the Line Drive location are already underway.

LifeServe Blood Center was established in April, 2010 when The Blood Center of Iowa joined operations with Siouxland Community Blood Bank.
